#CrimeCamNow On August 19, 2023, Dunwoody police received multiple 911 calls reporting a black male pointing a gun at people in Dunwoody, Georgia. Officers responded quickly and gathered witness descriptions of the suspect. After searching the area, they located a man matching the description in a building's trash room. Officers detained him and explained the reason for the stop, but the suspect denied any wrongdoing, claiming that his girlfriend lived in the building—though he couldn’t provide her name or apartment number. A check of his information revealed an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Additional witness interviews confirmed his identity as the individual who pointed a gun at them. He was subsequently charged with aggravated assault with a weapon and two counts of simple assault, and was transported to DeKalb County Jail.
