Bodycam footage from the West Palm Beach Police Department in Florida details a disturbing case of child neglect after a 19-year-old mother left her sick, two-week-old newborn baby alone in a parking lot. On March 24, 2025, officers responded to a hospital parking lot after a witness reported finding an abandoned infant in a stroller. The baby, who was only two weeks old and suffering from a fever, had been left completely alone. Police and paramedics immediately rendered aid to the infant. The investigation quickly led officers to the baby's teen mother, who initially lied about the baby's whereabouts, claiming she had left the infant at the hospital. Her story unraveled when confronted by officers, and she eventually admitted to leaving her sick child. She was arrested and charged with child neglect.
