Another true crime case out of Florida ended with a first-degree murder conviction and a life sentence after a 2-year-old girl died while in her mother’s ex-boyfriend’s care. According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Travis Thompson was babysitting his ex-girlfriend’s children after the couple had recently broken up. Investigators said text messages showed he was angry about the breakup. Thompson claimed he found the toddler unresponsive after hearing a loud thud, but an autopsy later revealed severe internal injuries. Footage obtained via public records.
