As the officers conducted their investigation with the lone male occupant of the vehicle, the officers heard multiple gunshots coming from a strip mall directly south of them. The officers saw a male, later identified as 44-year-old Michael Meadows, through a short, wrought iron fence separating the two properties. Meadows was walking west toward an occupied, open business while firing multiple rounds from a handgun. The officers immediately engaged Meadows resulting in an OIS. Meadows was struck by gunfire causing him to drop the firearm and fall to the ground. Meadows was subsequently pronounced deceased at scene by the Los Angeles Fire Department personnel. A 9mm semiautomatic firearm, equipped with a threaded barrel sound suppressor capability and an empty six round Glock magazine was recovered at scene. No officers or civilians were injured during this incident. The traffic stop was unrelated to the OIS and the driver of the vehicle was not injured. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - 'DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse' - 'InicRa' - 'Dabster' - Lisa Hunt - Christopher Payne - 'Bad Drivers Of The NorCal Area' - Juan Villagomez - Leonardo Buzzolan - Zach Williams - Michael R Sheffield - Jacopo Di Taddeo - Rich Biggs - 'Ham_Radio' - 'D.
