In Buffalo, officers responded to a volatile street disturbance that quickly turned dangerous. Upon arrival, officers encountered a woman holding a knife and shouting at bystanders. Despite repeated commands to drop the weapon and warnings of potential lethal force, the suspect refused, claiming she had been touched and had the right to fight back. As tensions mounted, the woman’s refusal to comply led to a nearby individual being stabbed. Officers immediately called for medical assistance, attempting verbal de-escalation and securing the scene. They applied pressure to control the bleeding while continuing commands to contain the threat. The ambulance arrived shortly after, and the suspect was taken into custody while receiving treatment at the scene. The suspect remains innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
