On July 23, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to shocking reports of an employee stealing customer credit cards and going on a shopping spree. When officers arrived at the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant on Sharer Road, they were met with an unbelievable scene — the suspect was none other than 41-year-old Jermell Jones, the man behind the Chuck E. Cheese mascot costume. Officers placed Jones under arrest in front of stunned families and crying children inside the arcade. Parents watched in disbelief as the beloved mascot was handcuffed and taken into custody on multiple charges, including theft of a credit card, criminal use of personal identification, and fraudulent use of a credit card (repeated offense). During the arrest, police reportedly recovered stolen credit cards, receipts from the spending spree, and a small amount of marijuana. The moment quickly turned into one of the most surreal police bodycam arrests ever caught on camera. 👉 Stay tuned until the end for the full breakdown of this unbelievable incident, captured on police bodycam footage.
