On April 9th, 2024, officers in Ohio responded to an incident at a car wash involving a woman taking items without paying. Employees reported a woman had taken items without paying. Officers arrived at the car wash to find the suspect cleaning her vehicle. When approached, the suspect dismissed the officers, claiming she was too busy. Employees explained that the suspect had been given free samples but had later taken additional items valued at around $10 without payment. They requested that the suspect be removed from the property and that her membership be canceled. The officers informed the suspect she was trespassed from the property and needed to leave immediately. The suspect became argumentative, insisting she could stay due to her membership, which had been revoked. She continued cleaning her car, ignoring the officers' directives. When Officer Perkins attempted to arrest her for trespassing, the suspect resisted, trying to move deeper into her vehicle and wrapping her arm around a seat headrest. Officers eventually removed her from the vehicle, but she continued to resist and refused to comply. The suspect was taken to the ground and restrained against her vehicle before being handcuffed. She then refused to walk to the patrol car, forcing officers to escort her there. Her vehicle was impounded at the request of the auto wash employees.
