[Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only] Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada — On August 9, 2026, a York Regional Police (YRP) officer attempted to stop a motorcyclist involved in a collision. After being instructed to pull over and return to the scene to exchange information, the rider refused, gestured "no" to the officer, and fled the area despite being told he was under arrest. Bodycam footage captures a YRP officer locating the suspect shortly after at the intersection of 16 Avenue and Mural Street. The video shows the officer driving his cruiser onto the grass behind the stopped motorcycle, silently exiting the vehicle, and tackling the unsuspecting rider to the ground to make the arrest. Following the takedown, officers recovered an unauthorized license plate from the motorcycle reading “RUN THIS.” The rider faces multiple charges, including failure to stop after an accident, flight from a peace officer, driving with no insurance, failure to disclose insurance particulars, and use of an unauthorized plate.
