An Arkansas State Police trooper was conducting stationary radar enforcement on U.S. Highway 412 in Carroll County when a silver Chevrolet Traverse caught his attention. The SUV was reportedly traveling well above the posted speed limit, prompting the trooper to pull out and attempt a traffic stop. What appeared to be a routine speeding stop quickly changed when emergency lights and sirens were activated. Instead of pulling over, the driver allegedly accelerated and continued down the narrow two-lane highway. As the pursuit continued through rural Carroll County, speeds climbed into triple digits while the SUV reportedly struggled to maintain its lane. With traffic present and the situation becoming increasingly dangerous, troopers worked to bring the incident under control before someone was seriously injured. The chase ended only after decisive action by law enforcement, but the events that followed revealed even more surprises.
