In February 2026, Tyran Jackson — a four-year FedEx Ground delivery driver operating out of the Industriplex Boulevard service center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana — was arrested and charged with multiple federal and state counts including theft from interstate shipment under 18 U.S.C. § 659, wire fraud under 18 U.S.C. § 1343, and Louisiana theft of $25,000 or more under La. R.S. 14:67, after an East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office detective placed him under nine days of active surveillance following a single customer complaint. The investigation began when a Baton Rouge homeowner tracked a high-value electronics package as delivered but found nothing on her porch and no FedEx vehicle on her doorbell camera footage for the entire delivery window. ––– Disclaimer: This video is a dramatization based on real events.
