On January 17, 2026, Santa Fe County Sheriff Deputy Cintron stopped a vehicle for allegedly swerving in and out of its designated lane of traffic. The vehicle was being driven by a 31-year-old woman who had a revoked license from a previous DUI arrest. Due to slurred speech, watery eyes, and the smell of alcohol coming from the vehicle, Deputy Cintron asked the woman to step out of her vehicle. After performing standardized field sobriety tests, the woman was placed under arrest. At the Sheriff's Office, she agreed to provide breath samples and the results were 0.27% and 0.26% BAC (more than 3 times the legal limit). Her charges are listed at the end of the video. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
