Viewer discretion is advised. Bodycam footage from the Fairfax County Police Department captures the chilling moment a mental health welfare check turned deadly. Officer Peter Liu was responding to a call concerning 33-year-old Sydney Wilson, a former Georgetown University basketball player, when she suddenly lunged at him with a knife, slashing his face. Despite being trained in crisis intervention, the officer had seconds to react. As Wilson — who stood 6'6" tall — continued her attack, Officer Liu opened fire to protect himself. The case has sparked national debate after Georgetown’s women’s basketball team posted a tribute to Wilson, despite her violent actions being captured on video. Could this have been handled differently? -------------------------------------------------------------------- Business Email - ystudios00@gmail.com (Disclaimer: The content in this video is intended for educational and informational purposes only)
