On August 10, 2025, deputies responded to a reported disturbance. When a deputy arrived, a vehicle was identified leaving the area. The deputy ordered the driver to stop, but the driver refused, forcing the deputy to move out of the way to avoid being struck. The deputy broadcasted a description of the vehicle over the radio, and other units responded. The vehicle was later located after attempting to enter a gated area. When the driver could not gain access, he continued fleeing until stopping near an exit. The driver exited the vehicle in an agitated state and was secured by deputies. The driver showed signs of alcohol impairment, including slurred speech, stumbling, and the odor of alcohol. Deputies attempted to place him in the rear of a patrol vehicle for safety, but he actively resisted. During the struggle, the driver attempted to kick one deputy and then headbutted another, causing injury. In the process of gaining compliance, the driver’s face struck the doorframe of the patrol vehicle, resulting in a laceration. Deputies immediately removed him, sat him on the ground, and requested medical assistance. The driver was treated on scene by medics and then transported to a hospital for further evaluation. While at the hospital, the driver admitted to striking a deputy. The injured deputy also received medical treatment for a possible broken nose. The original disturbance was determined to be unfounded, and a supplemental report was completed.
