It was just after noon in Henderson, Nevada, when police responded to what should have been a routine welfare check. But inside the home of Jeffrey and Misty Scanlan, officers uncovered a shocking scene—an 11-year-old child locked inside a metal cage, surrounded by trash and filth. Police bodycam footage reveals every chilling moment, from the initial welfare officer’s knock to the dramatic rescue of the boy. As investigators questioned the parents, excuses about autism, the flu, and parenting struggles fell apart fast. In the end, both parents were arrested for child abuse and neglect—though their punishment left many questioning the justice system. This case remains one of the most disturbing examples of hidden child neglect caught on police bodycam. #PoliceBodycam, #ChildNeglect, #TrueCrimeDocumentary, #NevadaCrime, #BodycamFootage, #ChildRescue, #HendersonNevada, #RealCrimeCases, #ParentsArrested, #CPSInvestigation, #TrueCrimeChannel, #NeglectCase, #BodycamVide ⚖️ Disclaimer: All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
