On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at approximately 9:18 a.m., law enforcement responded to a strip mall location regarding a disturbance involving a disorderly, intoxicated female. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the female subject, who appeared visibly intoxicated. She was slurring her words and unable to complete coherent sentences. Deputies also noted a sweet, fruity odor emitting from her person during the interaction. The woman stated she had been involved in a dispute with a coworker. According to witness statements, the subject had shown up to work at a salon inside the plaza while apparently intoxicated. Once on site, she began acting erratically toward both customers and coworkers. After being asked to leave the premises, she reportedly battered a coworker. Once outside, additional bystanders had to intervene to prevent the situation from escalating into another physical confrontation, as the subject continued to follow the other individual. The coworker declined police assistance and advised she did not wish to pursue charges. Deputies gave the subject multiple opportunities to leave the area. She briefly walked to a nearby convenience store, purchased an alcoholic beverage, opened the container, and began drinking in the presence of law enforcement. While officers continued attempts to de-escalate and remove her from the area, the subject began harassing customers and business owners exiting nearby establishments. She repeatedly argued with deputies and refused to leave the premises, insisting that the other female involved be arrested. Despite being given multiple chances, the subject continued her disruptive behavior and was ultimately placed under arrest. While en route to the county jail, the deputy was forced to stop the vehicle after the subject managed to slip out of her handcuffs. During transport, she continued to yell and direct verbal insults at the arresting deputy.
