On April 8, 2025, Tampa Police Officer Van-Treese observed a vehicle traveling 48 miles per hour (MPH) in a 30-mph zone. Officer Van-Treese initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a 21-year-old woman. Officer Van-Treese asked the woman if she had consumed any alcohol and after initially denying it, she admitted that she had consumed one drink. She was asked to step out of the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, she was placed under arrest. During a search of her vehicle, an open bottle of tequila was discovered. The woman refused to submit to chemical testing. Her charges are listed at the end of the video. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
