On February 27, 2025, Rio Rancho Police Officer Barsody stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The police report indicates that Officer Barsody noticed slowed and slurred speech from the 30-year-old driver. The woman denied consuming any alcohol. Officer Barsody called Officer Roskos, who is part of a DWI enforcement team, for assistance. Officer Roskos arrived and took over the investigation. He put the driver through an extensive series of field sobriety tests and, at the conclusion, placed the woman under arrest for Driving While Under the Influence of Liquor (DWI). She was insistent that she had passed the tests and didn't understand why she was being arrested. At the police station, she refused to submit to an evidential breath test. The police report and online court records show that the woman had a previous DWI arrest in 2017, but that case was dismissed by the prosecutor. Her charges are listed at the end of the video. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
