On October 17, 2025, a Flagler County deputy stops a 60-year-old driver after observing repeated lane violations, including swerving toward the grass shoulder and into the adjacent lane. During the stop, the deputy notices signs of impairment and an open wine container inside the vehicle. As the investigation continues, officers discover multiple empty and unopened mini wine bottles during a vehicle search. The driver attempts to locate her insurance but struggles to complete basic tasks and later agrees to perform field sobriety exercises. After the evaluation, she is placed under arrest for driving under the influence. At the jail, a breath test later records results of 0.247 and 0.238 BAC.
