Henderson, Nevada. July 13, 2022. Officers responded to a welfare check after a father called police saying his son had locked himself in the bathroom and was FaceTiming him from inside. That's all they knew going in. When they knocked, the boy opened the door himself. He had a bag in his hand. His mother was standing right behind him. The bag came back as more than 100 grams of methamphetamine. The officer who took it said it ranked in his top five drug seizures in 18 years on the job. Kendra Long denied knowing anything about it. Said a friend must have left it there. Refused a drug test. She had an explanation for everything, and none of it accounted for how the bag got under her nightstand. She pleaded guilty in April 2023 to felony conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act and child abuse, neglect, or endangerment. Sentenced to probation in July 2023 by Judge Monica Trujillo. She violated it three months later. She was given treatment and reinstated on probation. In August 2024, Nevada State Police ran a compliance check and found more methamphetamine, Xanax, Valium, and a scale. Judge Erika Mendoza revoked her probation in October 2024. She was sentenced to prison and released on parole roughly three months after that. The boy's father was awarded sole custody. All footage is obtained through public records requests.
