At approximately 8:53 PM, Officer Boyce observed a blue 2012 Chevrolet Malibu speeding eastbound on Main Street. The vehicle made a left turn northbound onto Oceanport Avenue. Officer Boyce initiated a traffic stop using emergency lights, and the vehicle pulled into a nearby parking lot. Upon contact, the driver was identified as Kaylane Borgesdelima. Officer Boyce informed Ms. Borgesdelima of the reason for the stop (speeding). A records check revealed an outstanding warrant from West Long Branch stemming from missed court appearances on previous traffic violations (improper passing and careless driving from January 12, 2025). After backup arrived, Ms. Borgesdelima was asked to exit the vehicle and was placed under arrest without incident. She was transported to the Oceanport Police Department for processing. Station Processing Ms. Borgesdelima expressed concern that body-worn camera footage of the arrest might be posted on YouTube. She was photographed, fingerprinted, and processed. Released on her own recognizance pending court appearance in West Long Branch.
