Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: On April 19, 2025, around 11:39 PM, Lakewood Officer Shane McCarthy spotted a white 2002 Chrysler van heading east on Detroit Avenue near W Clifton Boulevard. It had two flat tires. The driver turned left onto W Clifton Boulevard, then pulled into the Marathon gas station at 18100 Sloane Avenue. McCarthy got out and approached the driver, 22-year-old Cheyenne Greathouse. She said she came from the Mercury Lounge at 18206 Detroit Avenue. The van looked like it had crashed earlier that night. While talking, he smelled alcohol on her breath. He saw signs she was impaired. She admitted to drinking earlier. Officers Flowers and Bry showed up to help. They asked Cheyenne to do field sobriety tests. McCarthy began with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. He noted no smooth pursuit. There was jerking at max deviation, starting before 45 degrees. He saw vertical nystagmus too. Next came the Walk and Turn. She missed heel-to-toe steps. For the One Leg Stand, she didn't lift her foot right and dropped it too soon. With the flats, booze smell, her admission, and failed tests, McCarthy arrested her for OVI. She answered a few questions after. They took her to Lakewood PD for booking. He read the ALS form. She agreed to a breath test. Results showed 0.107 g/210L—over the 0.08 limit. She got tickets for OVI (4511.19) and unsafe vehicle (337.01), then release for court.
