On October 8, 2023, Miami Township Police Officer Tudor observed a vehicle commit numerous traffic violations. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and the 22-year-old driver admitted that she and her friends were coming from a bar. However, she claimed to be the designated driver, who had consumed no alcohol. Officer Tudor wasn't buying her story and he asked her to perform standardized field sobriety tests (FSTs). He then asked her to submit to a preliminary breath test (PBT), but she refused. She was placed under arrest for DUI. At the police station, she submitted to an evidentiary breath test and the result was 0.169% BAC (over twice the legal limit).
