If you like arrest content, consider subscribing! We have dozens of requests in with wildlife agencies across the US and will have more content coming soon! First Video: On August 24, 2024, an officer with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office was on patrol when he made contact with a 37-year-old male named Yurisel. The officer initiated a resource inspection and soon discovered the suspect was in possession of a large number of illegal fish. In the end, he was charged with 4 misdemeanor charges. On September 11, 2024, he pled guilty on all charges and was sentenced to 2 years of probation and ordered to pay over $800 in fines and fees. Additionally, he was ordered to complete an FWC class. Second Video: On December 20, 2023, a Florida Fish and Wildlife Officer was on patrol when observed a truck and trailer that belonged to a known commercial fisherman at an infrequently used boat ramp. From a concealed location, Officer Georgevich observed a vehicle that appeared to be on lookout drive through the boat ramp shortly before the netting vessel came back to the ramp. Once the netting vessel arrived, Officer Georgevich conducted a resource inspection and located a large monofilament gill net on board the vessel. Of note, the safety harbor boat ramp is nearly 36 miles to the inlet, making it an unlikely boat ramp for someone going offshore. The gill net was not properly stored, had no proper SPL markings on it, and was full of ladyfish and other species. Based on the interviews and species in the net, the officers determined the subjects had deployed the net in state waters. Officers removed nearly 1,000 pounds of ladyfish as well as multiple other saltwater species from the net, which measured over 500 yards in length. The net was seized, and all subjects were arrested and transported to the Pinellas County jail. Subjects were charged with six felonies and 51 misdemeanors. The captain pled guilty on May 28, 2024, and was sentenced to 1 day in jail with credit for time served and 24 months of state probation. The other cases are currently ongoing. **************************** Our featured content highlights law enforcement interactions, focusing on education rather than public shaming or ridicule. In a world where discussions about law enforcement are often misleading, it’s important to present these interactions in their proper context to inform and educate the public. All suspects in our videos are assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. ****************************
