Upon arrival, deputies encountered a victim with facial injuries, claiming his adult son, Julio Cesar Palomares, had assaulted him during an argument. Palomares, armed with scissors, aggressively advanced on deputies, leading to a deputy-involved shooting after a TASER was ineffective. Palomares was pronounced dead at the scene.
