WWE Superstar Jimmy Uso, whose real name is Johnathan Fatu, finds himself on the wrong side of the law during a late-night traffic stop in Pensacola, Florida. What begins with a Pensacola police officer spotting a white Dodge Charger speeding and running a red light quickly turns into a DUI investigation involving one of WWE’s most recognizable Superstars. In this video, we react to and break down the police footage from Jimmy Uso’s 2021 DUI arrest in Pensacola. According to the arrest report, a Pensacola Police Department officer observed the Dodge Charger traveling approximately 50 mph near Garden Street before seeing the vehicle run a red light at Garden and A Streets. Police initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Johnathan Fatu, better known to millions of professional wrestling fans as WWE Superstar Jimmy Uso. After approaching the vehicle, the officer reported smelling alcohol and asked Fatu to step out of the car. The encounter then moved into a series of field sobriety exercises as the officer attempted to determine whether Fatu was impaired. The police footage captures the traffic stop and DUI investigation as it unfolds, including Fatu's interaction with the officer and his attempts to complete the field sobriety exercises. According to the arrest report, officers noted several issues during the exercises, including difficulty maintaining balance during the one-leg stand. But the encounter becomes particularly tense when a comment from the officer leads to a heated exchange between the two. Fatu is eventually placed under arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the Pensacola Police Department, where he agreed to provide breath samples. According to the arrest report, the two tests produced readings of .202 and .205, more than twice Florida's legal limit of .08 for drivers 21 and older. He was subsequently transported to the Escambia County Jail. Jimmy Uso has been one of WWE's most prominent performers as a member of The Usos alongside his twin brother, Jey Uso. A member of the famous Anoa'i wrestling family, Jimmy has spent years competing at the highest levels of WWE and has been associated on television with major WWE stars including Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. Seeing someone normally encountered inside a WWE ring suddenly interacting with police during a real-world DUI investigation makes this footage especially unusual. Throughout the video, we'll watch the original police encounter and react to the decisions made during the stop, the field sobriety exercises, the increasingly tense conversation between Jimmy Uso and the officer, and the eventual arrest. This video is presented with commentary, reaction, and additional context surrounding the incident. The purpose is to examine and discuss the publicly documented encounter as it unfolded rather than to determine guilt or innocence independently.
