This footage captures a traffic stop and subsequent arrest that took place at 1911 hours on May 29, 2025. Law enforcement officers observed a 2005 green Dodge wagon striking road safety equipment, including a flare and a traffic cone, on Route 3 West. The driver, a 69-year-old male from Belleville, New Jersey, was pulled over and evaluated by officers at the scene. He was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated under statute 39 4-50. The suspect was then transported to the station for processing and was issued a total of five motor vehicle summonses. He was ultimately released to a responsible party pending a court date at the Secaucus Municipal Court. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. An arrest is not a finding of guilt: that’s something for a court to decide.
