On July 2, 2024, in Solano County, California, Highway Patrol officers detected a vehicle traveling at 95 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on Interstate 80 near Red Top Road using their LIDAR unit. They conducted a traffic stop, and the driver exited at the American Canyon Road off-ramp, pulling over. Upon detecting the odor of alcohol, the officers performed field sobriety tests and offered a breath analyzer, which the driver, Mayra Jailea Berber, refused. Consequently, Berber was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. She was taken to the Solano area office for a search warrant due to her refusal to provide a blood sample. Once the warrant was obtained, a phlebotomist drew blood from Berber, who was then transported to the Solano County jail. Mayra J. Berber was charged with: 23152(A) - DUI Alcohol/Drugs 23152(B) - DUI Alcohol W/BAC Above .08 241(C) - Assault Against Peace Officer/Emergency Personnel/Etc #police #dui #solano #california
