On the evening of March 19, 2024, authorities responded to reports of an individual knocking on the door of an apartment building where she did not reside. A subsequent call indicated that a woman had entered an apartment unit on the second floor of the same building. Officer Rose Kanan arrived at the scene to find the door ajar and encountered a 52-year-old woman and her 15-year-old son inside. Additional officers, including Officer Montalvo, Officer Quinn, and Sergeant Falco, also arrived. The woman admitted to officers that the intruder had entered her son's room. Officers Kanan and Montalvo questioned the woman in the hallway and discovered she was a 31-year-old resident of a nearby apartment building in Hoboken. Appearing intoxicated, the woman confessed to visiting multiple bars in Hoboken earlier that evening but could not recall the address of the building she was in. As it became evident she did not belong there, Officer Kanan arrested her for trespassing. Following the arrest, Officers Tamborra and Quinn spoke with the residents of the unit, who wished to file a complaint against the trespasser. Subsequently, the woman was taken to the Hoboken Police Department for processing, where she refused to be fingerprinted. Due to the absence of a responsible adult, Officers Santiago and Ingraffia transported her to Hoboken University Medical Center for further evaluation. Officer Kanan issued summonses for Trespassing (2C:18-3A) and Refusal to Submit to Fingerprinting (53:1-15). #bodycam #police #cops #bwc #policebodycamera #copcam #copcar #arrest #arrested The individuals featured in these videos are to be considered innocent unless proven guilty in a legal setting.
