On August 3, 2024, officers with the Glenview Police Department responded to Dick’s Sporting Goods in Glenview, Illinois, after reports of a retail theft in progress involving three women. Police identified the suspects as Shania Price, Jatariah Brown, and Alize Christian. According to police, the women left the store with unpaid Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, and other clothing valued at $3,731.36. Officers located their black Dodge Caravan shortly afterward, but the driver allegedly refused to stop and fled through Glenview. Police reported the van crossed a no-passing zone, entered opposing traffic, and nearly struck another vehicle before suffering a blown tire. The vehicle eventually stopped at Willow Creek Church, where all three women ran from police. One was detained near the van while the other two jumped a fence before being located nearby. All three were charged with Class 3 felony retail theft, with additional charges filed individually. Officers later recovered approximately $7,964.81 in merchandise from the vehicle, including items appearing to come from several other retailers.
