An Ohio woman called 911 on herself after driving her car off a loading dock in the industrial business sector of West Lake in March. Bethany Gholson felt “safe” when officers arrived, going as far as telling them she was “so drunk it’s not even f**king funny.” Gholson pleaded not guilty to operating a vehicle under the influence after allegedly telling police she was “drunk driving” numerous times and evening offering to “keep driving” while her car was clearly out of commission, all of which was captured on the officers’ body cameras. She was on the phone with her boyfriend when law enforcement arrived. After surveying the scene and speaking with the woman, officers decided to have her perform field sobriety tests before arresting her. The Ohio woman took a breathalyzer test back at the police station and appeared to blow a BAC of 0.195, over two and a half times the legal limit. Her case is currently pending.
