On March 3, 2023, Lakewood Police Officer Dulik initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration. Upon approaching the 23-year-old driver, Officer Dulik indicates he could smell alcohol coming from the vehicle. The woman denied consuming any alcohol. While reciting the ABCs, Officer Dulik indicates the smell of alcohol become stronger. The woman was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence. The police report indicates she submitted to an evidential breath test at the police station and the result was 0.155% BAC. She was picked up by one of the sober passengers in her vehicle. On June 13, 2023, she pleaded guilty to an amended charge of willful or wanton disregard while operating a vehicle. The expired registration charge was dropped. She was fined a total of $470.00 and received 4 points on her driving record.
