Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office released bodycam footage from a June 17 traffic stop that escalated into a fatal shooting. Deputies attempted to pull over Kristofer Laboy for illegal window tint on his yellow Corvette. Laboy fled, then exited the car armed with a Sig Sauer P320. A veteran deputy opened fire after repeated commands to drop the weapon. Laboy died at the scene. The weapon was recovered with a round in the chamber. The incident is under investigation by FDLE, and the deputy has been placed on administrative duty per policy. Marijuana and promethazine were found in the vehicle.
