It starts as a routine traffic stop for failed lane maintenance. The officer explains the violation and begins the standard contact—then the passenger suddenly exits and starts interfering with the stop. The officer issues clear commands: stay in the vehicle and close the door. But the passenger refuses and keeps disrupting the interaction. After repeated non-compliance, the situation escalates into an obstruction arrest, with the passenger taken into custody. Once the scene is controlled, the officer returns to the driver. Signs of impairment lead to field sobriety testing, including HGN, and the driver fails. The traffic stop ends with a second arrest—DUI—followed by dual transport for both individuals. ⚠️ Disclaimer: Edited for privacy & safety.
