On 12/18/2025, I, Trooper Killian was patrolling Interstate 30 West at the 88 Mile marker when I observed a White Porsche Sports Utility Vehicle bearing a Texas license plate of WMP0069 traveling in the left lane at approximately 94 Mph in a posted 75 MPH zone. I ran the license plate through ACIC, I then initiated my emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. Once the vehicle stopped, I approached the passenger side and informed the driver who I was, what department I worked for, and the reason for the stop. While talking to the driver I asked if he had a valid driver’s license and he stated that he didn’t and he had an ID. I then asked him for the ID and was able to identify him as Kenneth Burton (B/M DOB:6/23/92). After receiving the ID I asked if he had a rental agreement for the vehicle in which he showed me where he rented it on Turo and had to return it back on the 19th. (Turo Is a rental car organization where people rent out their personal vehicles to the general public). After looking at the rental agreement, I asked Burton where he was coming from and he stated that he was in Pine bluff for a funeral. I found this strange due to there not being an obituary anywhere in sight of the cabin of the vehicle. I then began to walk back to my patrol vehicle while walking back I observed two backpacks in the cargo area of the vehicle. Once in my vehicle I ran the Id given to me through ACIC I ordered him out of the vehicle to conduct a search of the vehicle. In doing so Burton put the Porsche into drive and began to accelerate. I returned to my patrol vehicle and initiated my emergency sirens and began to try to catch the fleeing subject. The Porsche accelerated to Approximately 170 MPH or more and began weaving in and out of traffic. I was unable to keep up with the vehicle at those speeds so I Informed Troop K Communications I was going to cancel the pursuit. On 12/19/2025 at approximately 2:07 AM, I, was informed through Troop K Communications that Hot Spring County Deputies spotted the Porsche that fled from my traffic stop on State Highway 84 at the dollar general. They also stated that they observed the driver enter a blue passenger car bearing an Arkansas license plate 254XYP. Trooper Crow was on Highway 84 and stopped the vehicle as I was enroute. Once on scene Trooper Crow and myself conducted a felony stop at which the occupants complied. We placed both in handcuffs and in separate vehicles. I then read the Miranda warning to the driver later identified as Deandra Burton (B/F Dob:9/12/94)in which she stated that she understood her rights. I told her that Kenneth fled from my traffic stop and she stated that she didn’t know anything about that. I asked what he told her and she stated that he said he ran out of gas. I asked where she came from and she stated from Pine Bluff. I then asked where she was going to get gas from and she stated she was going to take him to pine bluff to get gas. I then asked if he called her and she stated yes that he did. We released Deandra Burton, and I transported Kenneth Burton to Hot Spring County Sheriff’s office and released him with the following charges: 5-54-125(d)(3): FLEEING - FELONY - VEHICLE OR CONVEYANCE - SUBSTANTIAL DANGER OF DEATH 5-74-105: Unauthorized use of another person's property to facilitate certain crimes 5-64-404: Use of a communication device 27-51-201: Speeding more than 15 mph 27-50-308.
