Nevada State Senator Edgar Flores (D–District 2) was found slumped over in his car near Lamb and Lake Mead in Las Vegas around 3 a.m. on September 12. Police say Flores appeared confused and disoriented when officers woke him up. According to the arrest report, he failed field sobriety tests, had droopy eyes, delayed speech, and smelled slightly of alcohol. Flores admitted to drinking one pint of beer earlier that night, but insists he was only tired after a long day — not impaired. At the station, Flores says he blew a 0.0 breathalyzer result, though officers pursued further testing with a blood draw. He was later released without charges or bail under Nevada law. 👉 Do you think exhaustion explains his condition, or should lawmakers be held to a higher standard?
