Around 1:57 PM on April 22, 2022, Officer James Perz with the Clearwater Police Department was working an extra detail in a church parking lot when a staff member from the Paul B. Stephen school reported that a possibly intoxicated teacher had driven past them. Officer Perz located a silver 2015 Hyundai driving slowly toward a landscaping trailer and initiated a traffic stop.
