According to the arrest affidavit, the deputy witnessed individuals moving positions inside the vehicle before contact was made. As a result, the deputy altered his approach and focused his attention on the area where the original driver had relocated moments earlier. During the investigation, deputies attempted to verify the driver's identity and requested records checks through dispatch. The information initially provided could not be confirmed, leading deputies to conduct additional verification efforts. Investigators ultimately determined the driver's identity and discovered the individual had an extensive license history, including a revocation related to habitual traffic offender status. The driver was arrested and booked on charges related to driving privileges and providing false identifying information during the investigation. Court records show the individual remained in custody for approximately one week before being released on bond. The original felony driving allegation was later reduced to a lesser suspended-license offense and transferred to county court. The defendant subsequently entered not-guilty pleas to both charges. As of the latest court records reviewed for this video, no conviction, sentence, probation, or final disposition was listed, and the case remained pending.
