On December 1, 2023. Deputies from the Barron County Sheriff’s Department responded to a trespassing complaint from a male who reported an unknown truck in his driveway. While in route, a deputy located a vehicle matching the description stopped in the road. The deputy approached the vehicle and saw the driver (Levi) passed out with two beers in the cup holder. The deputy repeatedly knocked and shined his light in the window before Levi finally woke up and opened the truck door. Deputies could smell alcohol on his breath and he had slurred speech. Levi admitted to drinking and said it was too cold for him to field sobriety tests and agreed to go back to the sheriff's department where it was warmer. At the department, Levi refused to perform any of the field sobriety tests and refused a PBT test. A search of the vehicle only revealed the two beers that were in plain view. The report stated that Levi later began urinating on the garage floor at the department but the deputy's body camera was covered by his jacket. Levi was found guilty for "OWI 10th offense", a class E felony. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison, 5 years of probation, his license got revoked for 3 years and he was ordered to pay a $518 fine.
