On February 18, 2025, Orlando Police officers responded to a disturbance at a local resort involving a highly intoxicated family being trespassed. Officers located one of the family members passed out in the parking lot, "sleeping on the ground with her face in the dirt". After refusing medical care, she became "extremely hostile". As her family was leaving, the woman grabbed her young child, began yelling derogatory remarks, and caused a disturbance, endangering the child's safety. As officers intervened to secure the child and arrest the woman, she violently resisted, pulling away, and "began to kick an officer in his legs". She was arrested and charged with Battery on an Officer, Resisting with Violence, and Disorderly Intoxication.
