On August 4th, 2023, at approximately 8:41 p.m., I, Trp. Dobbins, was patrolling on Grand Avenue when I saw a red motorcycle pass in front of me going westbound without a license plate. I attempted to catch up to the motorcycle to conduct a traffic stop. The rider of the motorcycle looked back at me and saw me trying to catch up to him. He accelerated and attempted to avoid me. I activated my emergency lights and siren to catch up to him. After activating my lights and siren, the rider crossed the double yellow line and began passing westbound traffic. I notified dispatch I was in pursuit of a red motorcycle. The motorcycle reached speeds of 100MPH on Grand Avenue. The rider came to the intersection of Grand Avenue and North Greenwood where westbound traffic was at a standstill at a red light. The rider split between cars at the intersection and went northbound on North Greenwood Road before turning into Little Caesars parking lot. The rider turned out of Little Caesars parking lot and went eastbound on Grand Avenue. The motorcycle continued eastbound on Grand Avenue, reaching speeds of 80-90MPH weaving in and out of traffic, then turned northbound on Albert Pike Road. The motorcycle continued on Albert Pike Road before turning northbound on North O Street. We traveled on North O Street until we reached North 50th Street where the motorcycle traveled down to Midland Avenue. I lost sight of the motorcycle after clearing through the intersection of North 50th and Midland Avenue. After losing sight of the motorcycle, the pursuit was terminated. Backing Troopers and I canvased the area but did not locate the motorcycle or the rider.
