A South Florida police sergeant was captured on body camera grabbing a fellow officer by the throat during an incident, leading to his arrest. Sunrise Police Sgt. Christopher Douglas Pullease was arrested on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer, tampering with evidence, assault on a law enforcement officer, and assault on a handcuffed suspect. Body-cam footage shows Sgt. Pullease arriving at a scene where officers were attempting to place a verbally and physically resistive man into the back of a patrol vehicle. Once the suspect, who was handcuffed, was secured in the vehicle, Pullease approached him, pointed a can of pepper spray in his direction, and shouted, “I will remove your *** soul from your *** body.” Concerned about the escalating situation, a female officer intervened, pulling the sergeant back by his duty belt. The video then captures Pullease turning around, placing his hand on the 28-year-old officer’s throat, and pushing her against a vehicle. #cops #police #truecrimestories #bodycam #dashcam 0:00 Intro 0:52 Initial complaint 2:00 Suspect arrest 4:06 Unhinged Sergeant 6:00 Follow-up
