If you like regular arrest content, be sure to check out our other channel @ArrestCam An officer with Florida Fish and Wildlife observed an individual harvesting oysters from an area closed to harvesting. As he approached, he began dumping them in the water. In the end, the suspect was charged with harvesting oysters from the Apalachicola Bay System, interference with an FWC officer, harvesting from a prohibited area, and taking or possessing unculled oysters. He was also cited for fishing without a license and not having a personal flotation device on his vessel. After failing to appear to his court hearing, a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was later taken into custody and received an additional charge for resisting or obstructing without violence. Through a negotiated plea, the state agreed to drop the oyster charges and he pled no contest to the resisting charge. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 24 days served. He was also ordered to pay $450 in costs and fines which remain entirely unpaid. He was also ordered to pay $72.00 for the fishing license citation and $140 for the PFD violation, both of which remain unpaid.
