She requested that I knock on her door and speak with her husband about noise complaints, but emphasized that he must not know she was the one who approached me. Her fearful tone and the way her children behaved raised serious red flags. As I engaged with the husband and later spoke to the woman again, I noticed bruising on her arm, which she initially tried to hide. Although she claimed it was from a fall, her visible fear and body language told a different story. Due to the nature of the call and visible signs of injury, police were eventually involved. California Penal Codes That May Apply: 📌 Penal Code 273.5 PC – Corporal Injury to a Spouse or Cohabitant Crime: Inflicting a physical injury resulting in a traumatic condition.
