On August 24th, 2024, Officers on routine patrol at Indian Key Fill uncovered something they did not expect — more than 20 undersized fish hidden inside plastic bags and a cooler, including Mutton Snapper, Schoolmaster Snapper, and Mangrove Snapper. Many measured only 3–4 inches, far below Florida’s legal size limits. When officers began inspecting the catch with a certified Check-It Stik, the situation escalated quickly… resulting in multiple violations and one arrest on the spot. This FWC Body Cam footage shows exactly what officers found — and why protecting Florida’s fisheries is so important. 👇 Watch the full breakdown and see how fast a simple patrol can turn into a major case. ⚠️ Case Details Featured in This Video: 3 Undersized Mutton Snapper 7 Undersized Schoolmaster 13 Undersized Mangrove Snapper Multiple fish with heads removed Over the daily recreational bag limit Violations of Florida Statute 379.401(2)(b)(1) Defendant transported to Plantation Key Jail Badge Cam – Real Encounters.
