Two teenagers were arrested after allegedly being involved in a high-speed stolen vehicle chase and stashing a weapon later found and shot by a 5-year-old child. The teens, both aged 15, were allegedly caught on dash cam video bailing out of a stolen truck as the driver sped on, according to the Lea County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies caught up with the teens and later found a loaded magazine in a trash can before a caller reported that a child had found & fired a gun in the same area the boys were found. The child managed to fire one round into a neighbor’s outdoor refrigerator, but was otherwise unharmed, deputies said. The two teens are facing multiple charges while deputies continue searching for the driver. Watch the incident unfold on this episode of Law&Crime BodyCam.
