A high-speed police chase that entered Sandy Springs ended with the arrest of Jared Juwann Pierce after officers said he fled in his Kia at speeds exceeding 110 mph, endangered other motorists and refused to stop. Police said officers used multiple PIT maneuvers before Pierce abandoned his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. He was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit, and no members of the public were injured. Pierce faces charges including felony fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement, false imprisonment, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, obstruction and several additional traffic-related offenses.
