Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: At 10:48 p.m. on November 2, 2024, Sergeant Spencer from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office saw a red 2016 Nissan swerving down the road. He flipped on his lights for a stop. The car pulled over near Byrom Street and Park Avenue. Spencer stepped out and approached the driver, 27-year-old Destanie Heslar. He talked to her and caught a whiff of alcohol. He spotted clear signs of being impaired. Deputy Henry Hancock rolled up soon after. He kicked off the DUI probe. Officers suspected she was drunk, so they had her do field sobriety tests. Right then, she said she worked as a correctional officer. Hancock began with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. He saw no smooth eye pursuit. There was jerking at full deviation, and it started before 45 degrees. Next came the Walk and Turn. Destanie missed heel-to-toe steps. Her turn was off. The last test was One Leg Stand. She did not lift her foot right. Erratic drive. Booze smell. Impairment clues. Poor test results. Hancock arrested her for DUI. Once in the patrol car, she repeated she was a correctional officer. They drove her to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office. At the jail, she skipped breath tests.
