Know your rights before police decide not to hear you. 📄 Resources, PDFs & support 👉 linktr.ee/ThinBlueLiesMedia 👍 Like 💬 Comment 📢 Share 🔔 Subscribe Darrel Gaston says DC police searched his car without consent after officers allegedly changed the reason for detaining him multiple times. DC police told WUSA9 they found a red pill capsule containing a white powder substance under the driver’s seat, but Gaston says he believes the pill was planted. According to Gaston, the bodycam footage raises serious questions because the officer’s hand allegedly leaves the body-worn camera frame for about four seconds before the pill is later found. To be clear, that is Gaston’s allegation. DC police told WUSA9 the allegations remain under investigation by Internal Affairs. But the bigger question is simple: if police had a lawful reason to search, does the bodycam clearly show it? Because when a case is reportedly thrown out, that does not erase the stop, the search, the arrest, or the questions left behind. 👀 Thin Blue Lies, Baby! #PoliceAccountability #Bodycam #FourthAmendment #DCPolice #KnowYourRights #CivilRights #ThinBlueLies #PoliceSearch #IllegalSearch #Accountability
