#airport #bodycam #legalanalysis During boarding on a Spirit Airlines flight bound for St. Louis at Orlando International Airport, a dispute over a child standing in the aisle exploded into a physical altercation between two passengers. One woman insisted she was the victim — pointing to a knocked-out tooth and a husband who claimed to work for a District Attorney — and demanded the other be jailed. But when officers interviewed both parties and a neutral flight attendant, the story flipped: the self-described victim was identified as the person who grabbed first, and the arrest that followed turned into a prolonged, expletive-filled struggle. Did officers have probable cause to arrest the woman who reported the crime? Were her constitutional protections respected during a restraint where she repeatedly said she couldn't breathe? And when does a boarding-gate scuffle cross from a simple battery into resisting an officer and battery on a law enforcement officer under Florida law? This footage is examined under Graham v. Connor and Florida Statutes §§ 784.03, 784.07, and 843.01/843.02. Disclaimer: This video is for educational and analytical purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.
