On April 29, 2025, Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Terrell responded to a vacant lot behind a car wash where a woman was reportedly passed out behind the wheel. Earlier in the morning, a vehicle matching the one in the field was reported to have been involved in a hit and run collision. The 33-year-old woman was woken up by officers, but was unaware of where she was at. The woman was asked to perform field sobriety tests, but she refused. When she was placed under arrest, she resisted and refused to get in the back of the patrol vehicle. She was charged with resisting with violence (a felony) and hit and run. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
